Buckinghamshire RFU 2019/20 Season
Bucks RFU are pleased to announce that nominations for the Chairman’s cup are now open.
This will see an award being made to the mini or junior club sides (U7 thro U17’s) that most embodies the core values of rugby union, having been considered by a judging panel consisting of members of the County Exec, the RFU and the referee’s society.
The award itself will consist of a Cup, a set of squad Tee shirts and a donation of a £100 to the clubs junior or mini section.
The closing date for nominations is 1st March 2020
The County Chair, Neale Baker says that his panel will be looking for:
Evidence of a young team that has made a significant contribution to rugby (includes recruitment, inclusion and innovation etc.) together with rugby’s core values, this can take any form, local charity work, forming a new team, playing achievement against the odds, working to make their club look better, raising the profile of the game within their area. The list is endless really, just think outside the square! Applications should not really be from sides who are just winning all or most their games, it is more than that, it’s about developing our players within our game and within our community.
The panel will accept one single nomination per club across all age groups. The nomination should be via the club mini/youth chair or person of similar standing.
Further details can be obtained via your club County rep or youth/mini chairs.
